Poem: Facade (A Life Story)
A two-fold poem I wrote about a year back about putting up a facade. The poem further more talks about the consequences and effects of putting up walls, by comparing it to a person’s life ‘story’.
When In doubt, remember to smile
Make look like everything is well
When amused, don’t make it obvious
Learn to show no concern
It’s the easiest way to evasion
To avoid any infiltration
Its fastest way to conclusion
To chapters never intended open …
… The story with misleading plot
A book with an unclear purpose
Fading lines and missing pages
Broken spine and unraveled binding
Collecting dust all on it’s own
Forgotten in the back of a shelf
